that was last year, what does that have to do with this year?

Well, if a team butchers you one year. Normally it doesn't go that quickly that far. You seldom see teams that blow you out one year that turn into an easy win the next year especially if they blow you out at home and the next year you're on the road. Yes the Cavs are better but you don't have teams go from 8-2 to 2-8 or vice versa. I mean there is a limited number of kids that most of the teams can add or that they lose.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
Very true .. at that level of play it probably wouldn't happen (and if so, rarely), HOWEVER at the high school level I remember one year that it happened was in '03 with Appy.
In '02, Appy was 8-2 in the regular season (having whooped MANY teams) and traveled to the state championship game (though they were blown out by an extremely powerful William Campbell team.)
In '03, Appy was 1-9 without a chance in the world of making it to the playoffs.
Talk about crazy!
I doubt stuff like that would happen very often though .. I remember reading in the papers afterwards, and seeing that Tom Turner had said that the 2003 season was the worst at Appy since he'd been there.
Sorry if this is a bit off-topic.. just thought I would give an example of one MAJOR turnaround in terms of consecutive years.
Officially retired
Oh no doubt it happens just with some of the wins UVA-Wise had earlier in the year (over a few not so great teams) and going by what Cumberlands did to them last year, didn't expect them to win. Wish they had but glad to see it was a good game.
